|
| The primary activity of AIA Missouri is to keep track of issues in the Missouri Legislature that will have an effect on the practice of our profession. To that end, the AIA Missouri Board meets in Jefferson City several times during the legislative session in order to discuss the issues that have arisen and to speak with legislators about our position on those issues. The issues included here are those that we are watching this year.

Civil Penalties
| This year all four professions regulated by the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors and Landscape Architects (Licensing Board) are focusing their collective energies on passage of this important legislation. Once passed, this legislation will allow the Licensing Board more direct control in cases involving un-licensed practice and un-ethical practice by licensees alike. AIA Missouri is proud to remain at the forefront of this initiative. |
